The Challenge Nigerian university students needed a safe, dedicated platform for buying and selling goods within their campus communities. Existing marketplaces were too broad, fraught with trust issues, and not optimized for the unique, hyper-local nature of student transactions, which often rely on direct messaging and in-person meetups. The Solution HowEGoBe is a mobile-first, web-based marketplace exclusively for Nigerian tertiary students. The platform facilitates peer-to-peer commerce by focusing on three core pillars: Verification (campus-based user identity), Connection (seamless in-app messaging), and Simplicity (bypassing complex payment systems for a familiar chat-and-meet model).
